At 3 years old, Yoni was diagnosed as a part deaf, having severe hearing problems at both ears, but his family and himself never let it interfere with his life, he insisted on having a normal childhood among other hearing kids and people.
At the age of 5 Yoni began training Krav Maga with the coach Ilan Fadlon at the Binyamina Community center. Kids in his group were a year or two older than him, but it didn't bother him.
Yoni began making progress and climbed up the ranks and belts, when he was 9 years old he finally got to a group with kids his age.
At the age of 13 he started training 4 times a week, and used to be an assistant to Ilan Fadlon at Binyamina and Zichron, and helped with the little kids classes.
Yoni was injured due to over training and was forced to stop activity for a long time.
Denspite his injury and the doctors' orders not to keep training Krav Maga, he decided not to give up and got back to training.
At the age of 15.5 he passed the brown belt grading test, the first test infront of the Professional committee.
In 2009 Yoni succefully graduated from the Wingate institute Instructors cours and became an offical instructor.
In 2010 Yoni and his friend Yehonathan Carmi began training hard and intensively towards the black belts grading test. Evantually on August 2010 they both passed the difficult test and became black belts in Krav Maga.
Yoni straggled to jpin the IDF, because of his hearing problem htey didn't want to draft him, but he won. He was drafted and served at the IDF.
Today Yoni lives in Tel Aviv, he mainly works at a High-Tech comapny and also as a D.J., believe it or not! He keeps showing up for trainings whenever he can.
